It has - I've had several people approach me, but a couple of people misunderstood the sign and thought I was launching a fashion startup and hiring engineers (haha, only in SF).
Really enjoyed this post — especially obsessed with the blazer from The Frankie Shop! I went ahead and made a Carted list of all your favorite picks on this post so everyone can browse them in one place: https://www.carted.com/app/@emilyvlsc/l/7689f7
Oh THAT’S why you’re able to wear blazers (I like the one you didn’t think was a keeper BTW) - you’re on Fillmore St. Blazers are unthinkable in NY right now, so it’s fun living vicariously!
Totally, it's always blazer season in SF. I'm not on Fillmore (probably a good thing, too many fun stores), but my neighborhood is reliably chilly and windy enough to make sweaters, blazers, and jackets the norm right now. I'll live vicariously through your warm weather ❤️ And thank you so much for your thoughts on my Ref blazer! I'm going to give it another wearing to see if I can change my outlook.
The Ghillies seem to run a little big. I'm a true 1/2 size and sized down to my nearest full size and they fit well! I've also seen reviews saying that other people think they run a little big. The nice thing is that the laces make them super adjustable, so if they're a little big you can just tie them tighter and use up more lace eyelets. The ruching at the back seems to help them mold to your feet a little better as well. Hope this helps :)
Your week sounds lovely! Family, doggy cuddles and an incredibly sounding (and smelling by the sounds of it) pumpkin bread! Wishing you every luck in finding your dream role. You deserve all the goodness. I love love love your outfits, and how you reinvent so well. And that Pixie blazer 🥰
I laughed so much at the wish for someone to take pictures of an outfit (especially one with great movement). It's such a trauma to not have those perfectly candid outfit shots.
Sigh, the dream to have a photographer capture our collective billowing skirt moments. I'm living vicariously through my favorite IG influencers and street style photographers.
Tache is so good that I can't buy a carton for myself - I cannot be trusted with it. You are too kind about the Ref jacket, I think it might fare better in a new home.
I love the shoes (I always admire them - they remind me of a Topshop pair I had for years and wore out), love the socks, love the skirts. YES to bike shorts in windy cities! Congrats on being "chosen" for a feature by Anika! So cool, Tina!
I get ya - I had planned for my Substack to be less photos and more writing, but nope, I'm going with what people like: frothy, amusing commentary and unhinged outfits I wear in real life, lol.
A huge yes to bike shorts in windy cities! Anika is truly the best and has the best eye. And I love a great photo, fun stories, and secondhand style - you bring it all :)
I loved this and your laptop sign. Do more of these :)
Thank you, I'm so glad! My poor laptop sign had so much wear and tear that I had to slap on a new one. We'll see if this one works better 😂
Does it work?

Hi! Do the Ganni ballet lace ups run big/small/true to size? Love them

Obsessed with Tuesday and Sunday!! So chic as always, and shoe game is so strong
Thanks so much Kendall 💗 So happy I've been able to find many of these pieces secondhand.
We're huge fans of your laptop!!!! and Orens Hummus :)
Haha, thank you - SF is definitely the place to put fashion tech signage on your laptop. And Oren's ftw!

Thank you Jenny! There’s nothing like senior doggies to spread joy and always an advocate for everything pumpkin 🎃
I LOVED the combination of outfits + what you did! It made me feel like we were catching up over coffee.
Lovvvvvved this - please do this recap every single week!

I have so many thoughts here!
1. Frankie Shop Bea Blazer is an all year item - IDC if its 110 here in Vegas.
2. I think you're crazy - that Reformation jacket looks so good on you!
3. tache milk is an ISSUE! the pistachio milk has ruined me. its so so so good

Teach me your ways when it comes to your socks and styling them back to your outfits. So intrigued and inspired!
Totally - always being cold is a great sock motivator.
I love an outfit post and you look great in everything!
Sita, thank you so much! You know how I feel about your outfit/life update posts 🩷
