I love an OOTW post that’s heavy on the visuals and light on the text. I had a full week of getting out of the house every single day1 and am getting better at daily selfies, so here’s seven days of what I wore, special shoutout to the items I wore at least twice.
Caveat: a lot of my outfits this week might not resonate since I live in a mild climate, am always cold, and it’s peak summer for many people reading this2. Hopefully I can provide some early fall styling inspo if you’re not sure how to wear that secondhand sheer piece when the temps drop.
Monday
I had an appointment, hit the grocery store, went to the library, and flashed everyone my bike shorts because the wind was out of control. At times like this I’d like a personal photographer because this skirt already billows dramatically when I walk, and when it wasn’t trying to fly over my head I’m sure it looked spectacular.

Tuesday
LinkedIn and Lattes with my highly accomplished friend
(student board president, public speaking mentor, all-around amazing leader) at a coffee shop with Táche milk3, thank you for introducing me to La Boulangerie.I wore this linen jacket in my quest to style everything in my closet once this year to see what to keep or sell, and it’s probably time to let this go on
. I thought it was the monster shoulder pads, but still don’t reach for this jacket after getting them cut down and styling it multiple ways. Love the silho, here for the neckline, have a sneaking suspicion it’s the color.
Wednesday
I haven’t worn this dress since last month, and it was due for a repeat. I switched up my accessories and made my way through the evening wind to a retail women in tech event. There was a retail-coded version of Family Feud (TikTok is always the answer) and an amazing group of women, including some SF fashion Substackers.

As always, enjoy what 23 mph wind looks like when you’re wearing a dress.
Thursday
I’m much more productive working around other people, so I put on my new-to-me slip skirt and trotted off to the coffee shop where I #littletreated myself to an extra-hot chai latte for a solo LinkedIn and Lattes date.

I’m trying to be creative in my job search and have had a version of this sign taped to my laptop for the last four months. I can’t tell if this is genius or not genius, but it’s sparked a few conversations at the coffee shop where all the startups hang out.
Friday
I had the very best visitors this weekend (my family, ilysm) and we went out for an early bird dinner. The sun was shining, there was a 21 minute wait and 3x price hike for Waymo, and it was yappy hour at Cupid’s Span, so we walked to Hog Island Oyster Co4 and enjoyed the cute doggies on the way.

Saturday
Morning: I restyled my Anine Bing dress over my sheer skirt and under my fringe jacket with my Isabel Marant studded belt to tie it all together.

We started the day with a spirulina bowl + extra-hot chai latte breakfast at Cafe Réveille, refreshed my farmers market flowers, saw the ne plus ultra of billboards, and ended the afternoon with a browse around the three C’s on Fillmore: Credo, Catbird, and Clare V.

Evening: An early bird dinner at Hakashi Sushi Bar, including incredible vegan options and my new favorite carbonated beverage. The wind was kicking up, which called for two jacket layers, and I grabbed an old beaded Anthro bag to brighten up my outfit.

Sunday
Morning: We started the day with coffee and lattes before heading over to the star attraction, the dog rescue where I volunteer, to cuddle the adoptable dogs. Waymo pricing finally approached something reasonable for the first time all weekend, and we ended the morning with a Waymo to Dolores Park to check out the city views.

Evening: Dinner at Oren’s Hummus5 before heading home to watch the 1980s classic Overboard. I made my favorite pumpkin bread and foisted it on my family to take home. It set off the security alarm at the airport, had to be unwrapped for inspection, and even the TSA agent said it smelled delicious6.

Fashion Notes
Having a full circle moment: the highly chic
of was one of the first recipients of my dm sliding because of her Style Notes series, and now I’m in Style Notes? Someone please pinch me.Because everyone does photo shoots with their annual library tote, right? Right?
Stay cool, stay safe if you’re in a heat wave zone; wear bike shorts under your skirts and hold onto your small doggie if you’re in a wind tunnel zone.
Nosy merchant poll of the week:
That’s it for this week, thanks for reading! What’s your favorite outfit that you wore in the last week? Bonus points if it’s secondhand, thirdhand, or if your cost per wear is under a dollar.

Unpopular opinion, but I love and miss working in an office. If you’re hiring an in-office fashion role in SF, I’m your person!
Except for my lovely friends in Australia, I’m taking notes of all of your fall outfits rn.
I’ve been putting off Táche for over a year because I feared it would become my quiet luxury milk in spite of its eye-watering price (tysm
for this term). And now that I’ve broken the Táche seal, I don’t want any other vegan milk in my lattes. Also vegan? The pickled vegetable plate is where it’s at and they can modify salads. Also not a drinker? The house-made shrub is elite and they have no-ABV drinks.
Unanimously voted among everyone I’ve taken to Oren’s as the most amazing french fries they’ve ever had. The Diet Coke is also phenomenal, with McDonald’s-esque bubbliness and syrup quality, and ofc the hummus is next level.
The ingredients are accidentally vegan (hurrah) and the secret is adding an extra 30g of pumpkin puree.

Lovvvvvved this - please do this recap every single week!
I feel like you've found the perfect blend of minimalism and maximalism. Love these outfits 😍
