I’m for sure going to add to that Future Reference note, after I give my latest secondhand find a clean—the silver needs a little polish 😅
And I just have to add: last year I made it a goal to read FEWER books. Not because I wanted to read less, but because I felt like I was just finishing books without really absorbing them—as if the finishing was the thing I was doing, rather than enjoying and savoring the thing I was reading. It’s been a much more satisfying relationship for me (clearly a reformed Type A!) 😊
Yessss! I'm so excited to see your silver secondhand find. I feel the same way about my reading goal this year - I'm able to absorb what I'm reading and spend time enjoying books instead of trying to smoosh it all in.
Congrats on your 30th post, and thank you for the kindest shoutout! So grateful for your encouraging words in your previous note and acknowledging here how it's never easy to put yourself out there. Glad to see you also stepping out of your comfort zone - I looove how you styled your jacket!! x
Omg your mirror game is so strong and you hair .. I continue to look to you as hair inspiration. Can you write a post about hair care… asking for a .. me. And woooooeew that’s a good TRR haul! That sweater!
You are too kind Emily! My hair needs a lot of love since it's so highlighted and it's very thirsty irl, so I have to use hair masks as leave in conditioners 😳
Thank you Ofelia, I'm always so pleasantly surprised when I get it right the first time at resale. And 30 books is huge, congratulations! If you have any book recs, I'm all ears.
Thank you so much for all of these recs, this is incredible! I've only read a couple of these, so this is great news for my reading list. I've held off on When Breath Becomes Air because it seems like such a tearjerker, but this is my push to finally put this on the library waitlist.
Woah!! We finally get a face reveal!!! Also your long wide leg business casual pants are what dreams are made of - wish I could find my perfect (maybe second hand?) pair!
Of course, of course, of course you are a fellow watcher of the Parisian Vibes YouTube; I love that channel so much and I walk away inspired each time. I adore the cropped jacket you got and it's reminding me to pull mine out and wear it more too.
And of course you are Kelly! I just caught up to the boho chic episode andthought of you when I saw that beautiful fringed jacket here https://youtu.be/ofbtq38DMpY?si=z0XTkPE9B6VC3qCS&t=336. What a video, I was into every outfit! And I can't wait to see your cropped jacket, I'm sure you'll give me great inspo for wearing mine.
Thank you, I can’t believe that it’s been 30 weeks! Haha, my tonal black outfit might be my update to indie sleaze Ashley Olsen this Halloween (in addition to wearing it irl).
I’ve been searching for new YouTube style videos and cant wait to dig into this list!
That makes me so happy! I'd love to know what you think, I could honestly watch these channels all day.

Thank you Maria! That's so kind of you to say, your jacket post is everything.
Love this! Bookmarking to really savour it
Thanks Xue :) If you read/have read any of those books I'd love to know what you think.

Loved this Tina! And that cropped leather jacket 🥰
Thank you so much Jenny! It's the first leather jacket that I've ever bought, I'm happy to give it another life at secondhand.
You scored some awesome items!! I'm glad they worked out.
Also, I'm in SHOCK that you read 200 books a year!!! I thought my 30 books a year was big lol
Thank you Ofelia, I'm always so pleasantly surprised when I get it right the first time at resale. And 30 books is huge, congratulations! If you have any book recs, I'm all ears.
You might have read a few of these, but some of my favorites or ones that I was surprised by were:
- All This I Will Give To You by Dolores Redondo
- Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
- You Don't Have to Say You Love Me by Sherman Alexie
- Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson
- The Dutch House (one of the most vivid books I've read! I'm afraid to read other Ann Patchett books because I loved this one so much)
- How Not to Drown in a Glass of Water by Angie Cruz
Okay I think that's enough lol if you have any recommendations I'd love some too!! I'm trying to get back into reading more instead of scrolling :)

It's truly beautifully written. It's definitely heartbreaking but definitely deserves to be read. It was hard to put down.
Congrats on 30 posts! Loving those boots!
Thank you! The last 30 weeks have flown by and these boots are a secondhand favorite :)

Haha, the (kind of) face reveal is here! Thank you, I'm still in shock that I found pants long enough for me.

YES!! I adored that whole outfit; the little red shoes with it too 😍
Also 30 posts! Really incredible. And the 3rd pic all black is definitely my fav.
Thank you, I can’t believe that it’s been 30 weeks! Haha, my tonal black outfit might be my update to indie sleaze Ashley Olsen this Halloween (in addition to wearing it irl).
Love the recap Tina. Love when a passion is in every part of one’s life and so seamlessly.
Thank you Robyn! Looking forward to the day when you launch your Substack so I can learn all about genealogy ❤️
